Foreign Affairs, with reference to the letter from this

has now been reported to them that the British Steam-

Screw Vessel "Jesmond" registered at the port of London

has been sold to Japanese owners.

The late owners of this vessel were Messrs. Watts,

Watts and Company of 7, Whittington Avenue, E.C., and

a notice of sale was received from them on the 8th in-

stant.

The date of building, gross and net tonnage,

horse power of the "Jesmond", which is now stated to be

at Kobe, Japan, are as follows:-
